I moved from San Francisco, to NY in the fall of 2013 with my husband and 2 sons under 3 years old. I had 6 weeks between when we found out we were moving to when I landed in NY. It was not much time to figure out where to live and find a place. After much research I settled on Larchmont and on a cold call got Mary Gail, and that was a gift. I didn't know if we should rent or buy and had no experience in Westchester. After many conversations and tours of rentals and for sale homes in Larchmont, Mary Gail, assessed our situation and suggested we rent in a managed building with more flexibility close by until we got here and got settled. That advise was invaluable as it gave us time to get here and relax and get to know the area before diving in. The market was quite hot so we immediately started looking to buy to understand the local market, it because quite clear that we were not going to get what we wanted for our price. The first house Mary Gail showed us had been on the market for a while, was well in our price range but to the "world" had a few flaws. Mary Gail helped us see the potential and talk us through the potential cons and helped us secure it in a very quick time-frame on the terms we wanted. She was very positive, honest and never got pushy despite how quickly the market was moving. We are first time homeowners and had no knowledge of anything. She helped us with local contacts and answered all of our questions no matter how big or small. We would recommend her to anyone.
